Kimiko Yamaguchi is a mother of Tsutomu Yamaguchi and wife of Yuichirou Yamaguchi. It seems like she is around the same age as Ruriko Kouda (maybe slightly older), and they are good friends.

She hasn't been named until volume 2, chapter 6, corner talk on page 21. Yazawa Ai asked readers to suggest names of Tsutomu's parents in corner talks of previous chapters. She wrote that readers sent her mountains of postcards with suggestions, from which she picked up suggestion of Marin Uchiyama from Hamamatsu City. Marin asked Yazawa Ai to give Tsutomu's mother name of her mother, Kimiko, because her mother was a big fan of Tsutomu. Yazawa Ai liked it, and she also said in the corner talk, she feels that Kimiko and Yuichirou are very compatible names.
