Gokinjo Monogatari the Movie is a 1996 animated film based on Gokinjo Monogatari by Ai Yazawa. It serves as a alternate retelling of the beginning of the anime.

All the voice actors from the anime returned to voice their respective characters in the film.

Masahiro Kawasaki did much of the music for the film. Rumi Shishido performed the theme song, "Suano ni Natte" for the film. It was released on March 1, 1996 and later included on the third soundtrack.

VHS releaseEdit

The movie was only released on VHS and never reprinted on DVD. Currently it can only be found on the Japanese second-hand market.[1]
